Pearls cultivate for a minimum of 3 to 5 years. They reach
maturity at 5 to 7 millimeters in diameter. Their shapes and
sizes are summarized below:
Round Pearls: These being the most rare type of pearl, they
are ranked by how close to perfectly round they are.
Symmetrical Pearls: These pearls are irregular in shape but
have a beauty all of there own. The shapes come in varieties
of oval and teardrop and are ranked by how symmetrical they
are.
Baroque Pearls: These are pearls with a distinctive shape.
Any shape not already mentioned would be considered baroque. |
